ASHEEM CHANDNA

Partner, Greylock

At top venture firm Greylock, Asheem Chandna is king of enterprise software exits. The investor co-led the Series A in AppDynamics in 2008 on behalf of the firm; in January 2017, Cisco swooped in to acquire the app performance management company shortly before it was set to go public for $3.7 billion. That exit joins Palo Alto Networks, which went public in 2012; Arista Networks, which went public in 2014; and Skyhigh Networks, which was acquired by McAfee in November 2017. His more recent investments include Rubrik, Sumo Logic, and Delphix. Born in India, Chandna joined Greylock in 2003 after serving as vice president of business development and product management at Check Point Software. At the Tel Aviv IT security firm, he met Israeli engineer Nir Zuk, who would later go on to found Palo Alto Networks. Chandna advised Zuk all the way through. When not at Greylock, Asheem can be found hiking and running around Stanford University's campus, or traveling around the world with his family.
