TiEcon ENTREPRENEURIAL AWARDS 2008 YOUR NOMINATIONS MUST REACH US BY MIDNIGHT, MAY 9, 2008 TiEcon invites you to nominate yourself or someone you know and respect for the prestigious TiEcon Entrepreneurial Awards. We will recognize outstanding entrepreneurs in five categories: Gen Y, Female, Socially Conscious / Eco Friendly, Renegade, and Most Inspiring leaders. TiEcon 2008 is pleased to announce an awards program honoring some the industry's most impressive entrepreneurs. Supporting our theme this year – ‘Entrepreneurship Unbounded – inspiration from the frontlines’ – TiE will recognize entrepreneurs with “the right stuff” to make it in Silicon Valley . We expect our applicants to inspire the Silicon Valley community with their courage, innovation, leadership and success. TiE Silicon Valley is ideally suited to recognize and honor entrepreneurs -- as the group comprises accomplished entrepreneurs and VCs from the Bay Area that have walked in the shoes of our contestants and emerged as leaders in the community. About TiE: TiE is a not-for-profit global network of entrepreneurs and professionals founded in 1992 in Silicon Valley , California , USA . Although its birth name, The Indus Entrepreneurs, signifies the ethnic South Asian or Indus roots of the founders, TiE stands for Talent, Ideas and Enterprise . It is an open and inclusive organization that has rapidly grown to more than forty-nine chapters in eleven countries. TiE endeavors to cultivate and nurture the ecosystems of entrepreneurship and free-market economies everywhere, because it sees this to be the single most powerful instrument of prosperity. We expect that by recognizing entrepreneurial accomplishments, we can inspire other entrepreneurs and support growth and development by the excellent examples set by our award winners. Applications: The application for the award contestants can be found on the TiEcon.org web site by 4/3/08. The deadline for the awards is midnight, May 9, 2008. Judges: TiEcon is appointing five Judges for the 2008 awards consisting of accomplished entrepreneurs, market watchers, and venture capitalists. Judges will receive applications electronically (with an electronic scorecard) by May 11, 2008 and will complete the judging process by May 13th. . Winners: Finalists will be notified via email on May 14, 2008 of their status. Winners will be announced at the TiEcon Event on May 17, 2008. Applicants are encouraged to register for TiEcon and the top two finalists in each category will be allowed to attend the gala event (at a discounted rate). Winners are entitled to unlimited use of the TiEcon winner’s logo for marketing purposes and access to TiE meetings for six months – at no charge. |
