VOTING IN PROGRESS TiEcon invites you to nominate yourself or someone you know and respect for the prestigious annual TiE50 Awards. We will recognize outstanding companies in five segments: Consumer Web, Internet Infrastructure, Cleantech, Wireless and Software. We invite you to be among the first to nominate companies to be honored as recipients of the First Annual TiE50 Awards, to be held at TiEcon 2009 in Santa Clara on May 15th and 16th.
What is TiE50? TiE50 is an annual showcase of 50 of the hottest and most promising startup companies in the technology industry. At TiEcon 2009 these fifty companies will be selected from five focus segments: Consumer Web, Internet Infrastructure, Cleantech, Wireless, and Software. TiE50 extends TiE's respected track record of nurturing the entrepreneurial ecosystem by spotlighting real-world examples of startups that are “doing it right”. What kind of companies should I nominate for TiE50? Any emerging startup that falls into one of five focus segments: Consumer Web, Internet Infrastructure, Cleantech, Wireless, and Software. How will the winners of TiE50 be determined? Following the nomination process, TiE50 honorees will be selected through a combination of public voting and review by an expert panel composed of thought leaders in each segment. What are the benefits to TiE50 honorees? TiE50 honorees will present their companies in a live showcase over the two days of the world's largest and longest running conference for entrepreneurs, TiEcon 2009, on May 15th and 16th. They will also receive ongoing growth and awareness opportunities throughout the year. Spotlight at TiEcon 2009: - TiE50 honorees will receive an award from TiE signifying excellence in their industry segment.
- TiE50 CEOs/Founders will attend two PowerConnect sessions - premium networking sessions within TiEcon - where they will have access to industry luminaries, charter members, venture capitalists and other attendees who are focused in their segment.
- All TiE50 honorees will be invited to a pre-conference VIP reception the evening of May 14th.
Ongoing spotlight over the year: - TiE50 companies will be highlighted on the TiE websites via a short case study and 1-2 minute video clip.
- TiE50 companies will have permission to use the award logo in their sales and marketing collateral.
- TiE will arrange for specific introductions to members of the TiE ecosystem that could add value to their companies.
Are there any fees or other requirements involved for the nominations? No. There are no fees involved in this program. All we require of TiE50 honorees is that they submit a 1-2 minute video highlighting a human interest story about their company. As an additional benefit, TiE50 presenters are invited to attend TiEcon 2009 and PowerConnect on a complimentary basis. |
