ABOUT TiE50 2013

TiE50 is TiE Silicon Valley’s premier annual awards program keenly contested by thousands of technology startups worldwide. Awards are announced at TiEcon 2013, the world’s largest conference for entrepreneurs. In the thriving milieu of smart technology startups, there are a handful of companies that shine because of their edgier idea and smarter operations – the TiE50! The TiE50 program returns for a fifth year by popular demand to continue its astounding success.

This year, TiE50 recognizes the 50 hottest technology startups worldwide. There is no fee to register and no restrictions on the technology segment. We invite companies to register themselves. Our methodology is described on our website. Accepted firms are provided a password to access our TiE50 interface for submitting their digital judging materials and public profiles. Deadline for Registrations was April 15, 2013.

Upon successful registration, we will send you a password protected access to upload your company information. This interface will have a "public profile" section and a "judging access only" section. Public profile of each applicant will be open to public viewing and a TiE50 label as pertinent will be displayed: next to the public profile: "TiE50 Company", "TiE50 Finalist" or "TiE50 Winner". All content submitted in the judging interface will be confidential and limited to the exclusive access of our judges. An expert panel of judges score each company on various criteria such as business model, customer references, number of users, executive team, prior experience of founders, IP, defensibility, funding status, etc. More details and methodology are on the TiE50 website www.tie50.net.

TiE50 FINALISTS ANNOUNCED!

Participants for this year’s TiE50 Awards competition came from several major technology hubs worldwide. More than 1,100 companies were screened by experts to announce 104 world-class finalists. The 2013 TiE50 Finalists represent the best of breed companies from various segments. A panel of domain experts expended numerous hours and evaluated this group of finalists. These expert judges will listen to live presentations from these finalists at TiEcon and award the very best of them the coveted TiE50 WINNER award.
